Cooke’s Fine Photography has evolved over the past 30 years from shooting medium format film to digital. So we are a business that is evolving and changing constantly. Our priorities are clear: to always provide our clients with the highest quality photography- provide exceptional customer care and ultimately promote the art of photography.
Where do you draw your creative Inspiration from?
We have a network of photographers that inspire us, magazines, film and surprisingly some clients can inspire us with their vision
What are your top three outdoor locations for stunning portraits in or near Mammoth Lakes?
There are some great spots on Mammoth Mountain, Convict Lake is a favorite for many, there are many, many spots around the meadow. It depends on the client and what shoes they are wearing!
What are some of the hottest trends you’re seeing in wedding and event photography right now?
There are so many, that is why it is important for clients to be a match to that photographers style of shooting. For us it is using multiple light sources, getting the details, close ups. Some of the trends such an old film look is just not our style and we refer them to others.
What’s your favorite way to unwind in the mountains?
We go into the back country with one of the great packers in our area. I, (Diana), was on my way home to Australia and I stopped in Mammoth to do some backpacking…..38 years later I am still hiking the Sierra trails.
